Extension of services for our Europe Caribbean Line

We have recently doubled the frequency to Georgetown, Guyana. From sailing once every two weeks, our ships are now transporting their cargo to Georgetown every week!

 This shipping line features direct sailings with fixed departure and arrival dates. There are two loading ports from which our ships embark on their voyage to the Caribbean: Vlissingen (Flushing) and Dover. From Dover, the transit time is 17 days and from the port of Vlissingen the journey takes 15 days. This shipping line of Vertraco is the only shipping line offering direct, regular sailings to Georgetown, Guyana.

This expansion of services by Vertraco is initiated by the rapid economic growth of Guyana. Since the discovery of oil back in 2015, the country has experienced a strong development in their oil- & gas industry. Given that Guyana’s economy is growing in such a fast manner, import and export have been increasing as well. We continue to transport different kinds of cargo, such as consolidated cargo (LCL), full container loads (FCL), reefer containers, breakbulk, palletised cargo and vehicles.

Furthermore, the existing South Caribbean Service (with loading ports Antwerp & Hull, UK) will be executed with more ships as well, and with a higher frequency. With these developments, Vertraco continues to expand its services. Something we have been doing for almost 40
years already.
